Feb 22 I'm jealous

Feb 22. Ok. I am jealous. But before you figure out what I am jealous of ( going to a workshop with Stephanie Pearl McPhee in residence), know that the rest of this blog is here, but it's in the section that is stowed away, to keep the front page clean and neat,...so,..click READ MORE, and you'll find it.

I was reading my favorite blog this morning, Stephanie Pearl McPhee's Yarn Harlot ( I love that lady). She went to this fabulous knitting workshop...the Madrona Fiber Arts Winter Retreat, near or in Tacoma Washington. The classes sounded fabulous, and I realized that I nearing being tired of working full time. My orientation is over today (or the half of it that I am using most of my time on the floor, (postpartum, delivered patients, as opposed to undelivered patients). I want to have more time to knit when I am not totally asleep, exhausted, etc. I have several projects in my queue, half finished, and I want to clean them up and start fresh.

I need also to find a large tin to put my buttons in. I realize that I don't have one, so if any of you have a largish old tin that you'd like to sell to be my bucket for buttons, please let me know. KBruce@together.net. I really just want to organize myself, finish up what I need to finish, and then organize ALL my yarn....... can you tell I'm getting itchy to get my life organized in terms of fibers?

But, I did get to go to a beautiful birth the other night...the night of the lunar eclipse. It was an absolutely gorgeous birth, and the new mommy did so very well, ..she was strong and beautiful and wouldn't stop till the job was done, and all without medication. She was amazing!!!! The little girl who was born was a lovely little angel with pretty cheeks, and an angel face, and all in all, it was a very rewarding thing to be doing at 4 am, but then it took me all of yesterday and all of last night to sleep as much as my body needed, with its lousy old rheumatoid arthritis.... Now I am up at or before 5, facing the prospect of working today, and then getting a weekend off, and it'll be fine.

Did you know that each of you have the right to start a blog of your own on these pages? I would suspect that you would start fiber or knitting blogs, but life creeps into our knitting and fiber work, doesn't it?

I tried to watch the debates last night. Too tired...yawn....

Love to you all, and if anyone knows:

1. Any really cool knitting workshops that I should be signing up for and going to...or
2. Any place that Stephanie Pearl McPhee is going to be in the vicinity of a drive from Vermont ( I am just dying to see and meet her)
3. of someone who has an old, preferably antique large tin to use as my button tin, (I am willing to pay, but it has to be pretty).....

please email.

Going to get up soon and go to work. I get to see the little angel today before they go home. Love to all. Kathleen KBruce@together.net
