Sept 25. Good morning all. Well, Emily, 22, has finally arrived at Cambridge University, UK, for her year studying Influenza A. She is a member of the Gates Fellowship group, and apparently, it is a wonderful group of kids, and they are beginning their time together with a trip to the English Lake District for a get together week. Then she'll come back and begin her lab work, working on Influenza A, for a M. Phil degree. We have had a lot of fun having her home before this, canning peaches, and applesauce, and lots of jam... I'll be going to visit her on Oct 11, and that will be a lot of fun. She has a room in one of those wonderful English dorms at Pembroke College, witha fireplace, etc. Just like the movies!
